My jewelry creations are made with quality:
- stainless steel,
- sterling silver,
- semi-precious stones,
- glass pieces and beads,
- vintage pieces and beads,
- wood,
- shell,
- bone,
- clay,
- basicly-if I find something of good quality I will try it.
I love the way that wire can be used, sculpting, shaping, forming, etc. I have had a long time love affair with beads- there are so many kinds and they can be so beautiful. The colors, stones, finishes, textures, sizes, styles, its endless. There are alway new ones being made, and vintage ones being found. I'm also interested in the process to making handmade beads and pendant pieces. I am crazy about it all.
I make the wire components by hand with a few hand tools, such as round nose pliers, flat nose pliers, files, hammer and anvil, and some are made soldering with a torch,
I have cut and polished some of the stones I use, and others I buy- I try to get good deals so that I can keep my jewelry at affordable prices. I love vintage jewelry and am inspired by some designs and materials. Also, I like to recycle, I use vintage beads and components from jewelry I find damaged, or from other sellers. I am self taught in wire working and have learned many different techniques from experiementing and there are great books and other inspiring wire jewelers out there. I'm a creative person that will always be coming up with something new. I use components I have made using polymer clay, cast silver, anything I make above and beyond my wire sculpting.
Since I love to learn new techniques, there will be new items to come in the future, so please come back and see my site from time to time.
I have also made connetions with a local glass lampwork bead artist who is very talented in her craft also. So you will see me incorperate some interesting lampwork beads into my work as well.
